This short, powerful, angular Ponderosa Pine, collected by the Backcountry Boys, looks as if it was harvested straight from the mountain in the Boulder Bear vessel. The combination complement each other with an organic aesthetic that's tough to match in the bonsai realm.
The tree itself packs tremendous visual punch in a very small space. The tremendous amount of deadwood and broad base hold the erratic movement in the trunk and maturing structure in wonderful character contrast. The tree is back-budding prolifically which will assist in denser pads and shorter needles over the next two years. This tree will be showable within that period if handled well.
A very charming overall composition with loads of quality in a manageable size.
