This is a very interesting and unique Telperion-grown Japanese Black Pine that has been in training at Mirai for five years. This tree has achieved a great initial structure and a tremendous amount of ramification that has started to reduce in length. It was not decandled this year in order to rebuild strength in the tree. As a result it has tremendous back-budding and strong terminal buds set to explode next season.
The tree will need to be repotted next spring. The container might be slightly small. Regardless, this tree has a great root system, tremendous mycorrhizal development, and all the strength and health in the world to enter the refinement process.
As a specimen, it offers a tremendous amount of very rapid aesthetic appreciation and accumulation ahead.
