It's very rare to find a smaller bald cypress that maintains the same quintessential rapid transition of taper, broad base, unique trunk features, and natural terminus as a full sized tree. This specimen has never been chopped and grew slowly over several decades to obtain such a seamless aesthetic. Now that it is planted in a stunning Me and Raimondi container, it has all the beauty of a very large bald cypress in a small, light, and accessible size of bonsai. Freshly styled this past summer and potted this past spring, this tree is strong, free of field soil, and growing with a lot of confidence.
It will only continue to ramify and improve over the years to come. But don't underestimate the irreplaceable value of its uniqueness for its size. This is a unicorn of a cypress.
