This Ponderosa Pine, collected by Steve and Dan of the Backcountry Boys from the Rocky Mountains, was originally styled by Ryan Neil and is housed in a Horst Heinzlreiter container. At 120 years old, it was repotted this spring. This spectacular Ponderosa Pine showcases a truly remarkable spiraling form. Its undeniable character and angular movement, combined with the intricate deadwood and twisting branches, make it an exceptional specimen. The root base, with some exposed roots, enhances the quirky, literati-like character of the tree. The design elements used in styling this pine set the stage for further refinement and dynamic design. Initially styled two years ago, this tree continues to evolve and will only get better with time.
