This Rocky Mountain Juniper exhibits every desirable characteristic a bonsai could possess. It features a thick, powerful trunk with impressive movement from the soil. The deadwood reveals antiquity through burl formations and the erratic nature of the grain. The live veins, though narrow, are swollen and highly defined, winding through the deadwood to create a stunning live-dead interaction. The canopy is beautifully ramified and is beginning to fill in during its tertiary stage of refinement, making it a potential world-class exhibition piece. Collected by the Backcountry Boys and originally styled by Ryan Neil, this tree is 260 years old and has been in training for three years. It was repotted two years ago and is housed in a Horst Heinzlreiter container. We are incredibly proud of this truly special tree.
