An upright form of Acer palmatum that started out in the traditional model but is now naturalizing into the upward growth habit of the Japanese maple, this tree is at its beginning of an incredible bonsai journey.

Wonderfully blurring the lines between traditional and natural, this tree is just barely starting to show its tremendous potential. Originally styled by Bob Muller, a talented bonsai practitioner from the Northeastern United States. As Bob’s collection has grown, he has been very generous in offering some of his original work to the bonsai community. This Acer palmatum is sure to continue to amass quality and build upon the bones that Bob has created.

All shipping charges on trees reflect Covered Wagon prices. The Covered Wagon will be leaving Oregon this fall making pre-determined stops where clients can meet us to pick-up their tree purchases. The tentative stopping points for the Covered Wagon include Boise, ID - Cheyenne, WY - Omaha, NE - Des Moines, IA - Chicago, IL, Cleveland, OH, Harrisburg, PA - New Jersey and New York.  Final Covered Wagon destination spots will be released once tree sales are finalized.

If your tree is available for common carrier shipment or if you would like to pick up your tree at Mirai, we will refund/bill you the difference on shipping costs once it is arranged.

If you are a Mirai student wanting to keep your tree on-site for future classes, or a client needing tree care until alternative tree delivery options are arranged, we offer boarding here at Mirai at the rate of $35 per month.
