European Larch

A wonderfully creative design by renowned European bonsai artist—Jan Culek. All of the properties and traits of the ancient larch that formerly flourished in the alpine regions are present in this European larch that Randy Knight hand cultivated in Oregon. The abstraction of the multi-trunk form applied to the design of this tree shows all of the proportions of a tall, slender alpine environment. It has drama inside its design that will only enhance as the tree ramifies and is handled with proficiency. You can learn and understand how to carry larch forward on Mirai Live and build this tree into a genuinely unique Chuhin-sized larch bonsai subject worthy of display.

The Covered Wagon will be leaving Oregon on Wednesday, September 28th and making predetermined stops where clients can meet us to pick-up their tree purchases. The tentative stopping points for the Covered Wagon include Boise, ID - Cheyenne, WY - Omaha, NE - Des Moines, IA - Chicago, IL, Cleveland, OH - Harrisburg, PA - New Jersey and New York. Final Covered Wagon destination spots will be released once tree sales are finalized but in general do not deviate far from the above route.

A separate Covered Wagon trip to California will be in November with stops in the Bay Area and LA metro area likely planned.

If your tree is available for common carrier shipment or if you would like to pick up your tree at Mirai, we will refund/bill you the difference on shipping costs once it is arranged.

If you are a student wanting to keep your tree on-site for future classes, or a client needing tree care until alternative tree delivery options are arranged, we offer boarding here at Mirai at the rate of $35 per month.

Please email after purchase to confirm your shipping needs.
